Radiotelephone Operator’s General Certificate
The Radiotelephone Operator’s General Certificate (RTF) entitles holders to operate radiotelephone equipment in the Aeronautical Mobile Service and Aeronautical Mobile – Satellite Service.
Applicants must complete an approved course of training with a Training Organisation approved by ANCOM (National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications).
The General Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate is issued by ANCOM (National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications), based on an examination conducted at the end of a course.
FLY LEVEL is approved for delivering the following courses:
Initial RTF Course
This course is needed for obtaining/ renewal of the Radiotelephone Operator’s General Certificate.
Course duration:
Theoretical training: 30 hours
Examination: 2 hours
Recurrent RTF Course
This course is needed in order to extend the validity of the Radiotelephone Operator’s General Certificate. Participants must undertake the course during Certificate’s validity.
Course duration:
Theoretical training: 6 hours
Examination: 1 hour
To gain entry to Fly Level, you must meet entry requirements for your chosen course as listed below:
Minimum 18 years of age
Good knowledge of English language
Holder of a valid RTF Certificate (applicable to the RTF recurrent courses)
